This feast is celebrated in honor of the Prophet Abraham's faith by sacrificing animals such as camels, goats and sheep in the path of Allah. The meat obtained from this sacrifice is divided into three portions of which one is for oneself, the other for family and friends and the third for the needy and the poor. The feast of Eid al-Adha is celebrated if one has made the pilgrimage or not.
